As the most attractive and best sounding radio in our December 2008 tests, this is something you'll want to show off. DAB stations are tuned using buttons, but the AM and FM frequencies are selected using a traditional geared dial. The wooden casing affords it a rich, bright tone, even on AM, and it held a steady signal on most stations. It's a delight to use, but pipped by the Pure Evoke-3's more extensive features.
