Review of Sony CMT-EH45DAB digital radio
Features
DAB and FM tuner; 10 Watts output; CD player; tape deck; mains powered; headphone and line in sockets; remote control; 20 DAB and 20 FM presets; single-line display; 242 x 451 x 225mm (HxWxD - width comprises base unit and two speakers)
Comments
Good points: The old-school hifi has separate speakers, a CD player, and even a cassette deck.
Drawbacks: It looks dated, and the black ash speakers look like relics from the 80s. The display is a single line of amber characters that gives the bare minimum of information, focusing on station name, frequency or track number when playing CDs. You get a lot for not much money here, but you get better quality by paying more for fewer features with other radios tested here. A good choice for a child’s first hifi; otherwise, look elsewhere.
