The stylish handset has a cheerful coloured screen saver and docks well into the base station. The sound quality is acceptable and consistent as you move around and the phone has the best range both inside and outdoors. The menus are clear and it's easy to add and edit phonebook entries. The keys are well-spaced out and responsive. Very clear instructions.

It may look like an alarm clock on the outside, but flip open the handset and it's more like a mobile, bursting with the sort of features you'd expect from one. You can assign pictures and ring tones to names and numbers stored in the phone book, for example, as well as play games and send text messages. Extras aside, it works well as a phone with good call clarity. The colour screen is clear and the menus easy to navigate, but some may find the keys rather small and flat.

Comments

With its eye-catching answer phone and radio combination, this is a phone like no other. Sound quality was good, although sound faded in and out occasionally outdoors. The handset is quite small and chunky so the keys may be awkward to press if you have large hands. The answer phone is easy to use, although it's fiddly to set the time and date, and messages can only be retrieved via the base. Recording time is disappointingly short and messages don't sound as clear as with other recommended models. Radio reception is good and stations are easy to access, and instructions are clear and comprehensive.
