Lowest water usage and best wash performance of all those tested. The maximum 5kg load fitted easily in the drum through the wide porthole. Quiet during operation, this model has a clear fascia and a good choice of programmes without too many extras

Lowest average energy usage in our tests and switches off completely after the wash has finished. A wide choice of temperature options for each programme without any fussy extras. Short programmes compared to some. Tilted drum makes loading easy and gives a good view of the wash. Right hand opening door. Long 40° cotton wash. Economical on water with very good cleaning results.

A simple but good value machine with good wash performance and low water consumption. Lots of programme options but still has a clear fascia. Annoying beep at the end of the wash.

Good points: Good wash performance and lowest average water use of all the machines tested. This model has good choice of programmes without too many extras. The maximum 6kg load just fit in the drum.
Drawbacks: No cold cotton wash option. The fascia is a little cluttered.
