Vases on shelves
Kitchen shelves display several artistic handmade objects. There is a growing arts community in Eastbourne: the Artists Open Houses event is now a twice-yearly fixture, and the Towner art gallery, which dates back to the 1920s, re-opened in 2009 in a new venue.

Fireplace
A geological map of the local coastline hangs in the living room over an original fireplace. The 1890s terraced house is right by Eastbourne station but only a ten-minute walk from the promenade. By cutting across the golf course thats practically on their doorstep, they can be up on Beachy Head almost as fast, and from there look down on the shore and the town great for an artist whose work is inspired by aerial views of the landscape.

Lamp on a desk
Wycliffe's art work fits in perfectly with the colour scheme of their home. His work has moved on from constructing miniature everyday objects (examples still nestle among the vast range of wood samples on most of the mantelpieces), and he now makes beautiful wall reliefs from found and forgotten timber.
