Subject: Suggestions for Gluten free snacks?
Hi guys,
Me and my friends get together every Wednesday for a night of hilarity... normally there is an abundance of snacks of a crisp-type variey, but one of the girls has just been told to cut gluten/wheat from her diet.
The last thing the rest of us want is for her to feel left out, so can you give me any suggestions for snacks that she can have?

Sticky sausages. Mix together 3 tbspoons runny honey, 5 tbspoons hoisin sauce, 1 teaspoon pale mustard seeds. Mix sausages with this and bake at 180C. WATCH CAREFULLY , don't overcook as it burns easily esp in a fan oven. I have a neighbour who isgluen free and made these at Christmas a few years ago when the neighbours were in. She came and asked for the recipe this year. Cut amounts as this made a lot.
PS: should have said use cocktail susages or small chipolata

Cheers sweetgirl_em, I'll make sure to check it out! I love having the chance to make new things, but my first gluten free item (choc chip cookies) went horribly wrong! Although saying that, they vanished quickly enough!

I've recently had to do a birthday party for a woman with a plethora of food allergies. Can I heartily recommend a book called 'Cake Angels' published by Collins. Brilliant. Unlike most gluten free things they taste like normal food. There are some wonderful traybakes in there that freeze, so make a batch, freeze, and take out what you need.
Just thought - crisps don't contain gluten anyway. It's only in wheat flour.
