I'll give this craze a miss - looks like diet suicide to me!

Listed under tools are 12items and that doesn't include ingredients !!!
Way too much faffing about .

Would these be from America by any chance ?

I haven't yet. However, I'm new here and just now starting to explore the recipes on this site. I always wanted to become a better cook.
Feel free to discuss your wedding plans with me any time.

From what few I've seen they look like bits of cake on a stick - what's the point?

OK, forgive the pun - the point's probably on the stick!

That's so funny! I was excited to see this post because I just bought a cake pop maker... and I'm American... Wish I could see us through your eyes, bet we look pretty rediculous at times. We see it too though

Hi Metoo, sorry we're so scathing about your latest craze! What exasperates me is that one minute someone says " wow, you must try these", and in the next breath it's "how can I lose this weight, I'm morbidly obese"! These cakes are basically tarted up dollops of sugar and fat with the odd egg and a bit of flour thrown in for luck. Sets my teeth on edge just thinking about it. Better to decorate polystyrene shapes ( you say styrofoam?) instead and eat the stick - probably healthier!

Yes I know what you mean Devonmaid, I suppose everything in moderation is the key (what's that quote, everything in moderation - including moderation!). Good thing about them is the fact they're a small sweet hit. We've tried them in the office, but in fairness we didn't make them ourselves. I think you would have to be quite a serious baker to give them a go. Welcome to the site Listheweddingplanner - hope you enjoy the recipes. One of my goals this year is to try new recipes, though not doing such a good job so far I have to admit.
