Subject: Do you buy Fairtrade products?
I always thought it a good idea to try and buy Fairtrade products as much as possible, but have recently read that the producers don't always get as much a share as would be truly fair (plus my other half is always moaning at the "expense"!) What do you think, is it a good idea to buy these products or not?

I do - but I stick to known Fairtrade brands. Max Havelaar coffee, for instance; and the Co-op uses a lot of Fairtrade products if you have one near you.
The growers who are not getting their full fair share of the proceeds are still getting more than they would have done under Big Brand exploitation, so yes, I'd stick with it until there is evidence to the contrary.

I buy ethical and fairly traded as much as possible. I agree with BB that even if the share the producers are getting, it will be more than if they were with the big conglomerates.
Buying ethically as well as fairly traded is important as well.
