I am making curtains for a clubhouse where music of all types is played.
Any thoughts on the best lining to use to help minimise the echo ?

Hi Lindsey, I've only worked with cotton and polycotton linings before but would have thought the heaviest linings would dampen echo best - maybe blackout linings?
A better option would be to ensure that the main fabric is heavy.
If the main curtain fabric has not been chosen already, I'd recommend chenille - I have that in my lounge and we noticed a big difference when the curtains were hung.
If the main fabric has already been chosen and it is not heavy, then I would interline the curtains - I think that would have a bigger impact than the lining fabric used.

You could use and interlining .This sits between the lining and the fabric and would be the best bet .
I had a curtain making business and this is what I used in such instances .

Would you be getting the materials flameproofed ?
I never knowingly cause trouble !

You can use black out linings. It keep echo length natural. If you are aware of cloth painting works, then it will be more easy for you.
