Britain's oldest trackway takes you on a vigorous stride high along the spine of the North Kent downs. Your mind will be blown by views across the Weald, your body by the wind as you scud along to lunch at the Black Horse. You have to walk back, mind...

Practicalities From Hollingbourne follow the North Downs Way to Thurnham; return by Whitehall and Ripple Manor across fields.
