The Country Living Guide to Rural WalesSecond edition. By Peter Long (Travel Publishing Ltd, £11.99)

One of 10 rural guides published in conjunction with Country Living Magazine, which cover the whole of Britain & Ireland. The Country Living Guide to Rural Wales is full of information on the traditional Welsh Countryside. The guide will definitely appeal to people with a real interest in the beauty, tranquillity and traditional values of country life, who are looking for high standards in places to stay, eat and drink and quality craftsmanship in any products purchased. Equally, for those readers who are seeking a more active life in the countryside the book provides information on walks and tours as well as places of interest such as parks, monuments, gardens, inland waterways and traditional cultural institutions. The attractive cover design incorporates a photograph of Cenarth Falls and The River Teifi in Dyfed.

The writer
Peter is an Oxford Classics graduate who dabbled briefly in financial planning before deciding that words are more appealing than numbers. He subsequently spent many years as an inspector and writer with Egon Ronay’s Hotels & Restaurants Guides before joining the Travel Publishing editorial team in 1998. He has written Travel Publishing guides covering the West Country, Yorkshire, the North West of England, the Heart of England, the Lake District & Cumbria, the South East, Cornwall, the South of England, Dorset, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Suffolk and Wales.
