In a clearing at the edge of a small copse, these ‘tents\' may have thick canvas roofing, but hidden beneath are solid wooden floors, three separate sleeping areas and traditional furnishings, along with a well-equipped kitchen and bedding. Lunsford Farm has been designated an SSSI, as it forms part of the Old Saxon shoreline, and you can walk down to the beach, just ten minutes away. There\'s also a campfire, where you can toast marshmallows.

Established in 1997, this woodland tipi village is set around a spring-fed lake on the north coast of Cornwall. Each tipi - available in three sizes - is made of cotton canvas on a framework of locally sourced wooden lodge poles and is more than 18 feet tall. There are Turkish rugs on the ground, along with lanterns, a camp stove and coolbox. Within a short drive you can buy fresh mackerel, scallops and crab at Port Isaac or go sea kayaking at Port Quin.
