Think you know Britain by the sea?

We\'re an island nation, and we do, as the song says, like to be beside the seaside, so you might assume we\'re all quite familiar with the sightseeing spots around our coastline. But how many of these well-known seaside resorts can you identify from the photos and the clues?

All that glitters

With the biggest nightclub in Europe, this northern resort also has its own ‘artificial sunshine\'.

 

And this disco ball, installed in 2002, is also the world\'s largest. 

Pier pressure

Sand if not sun

This southwest town hosted the first-ever performance of Gilbert & Sullivan\'s ‘Pirates of Penzance\' in 1879.

 

The town has two railway stations: one is part of the national rail network; the other is part of a private steam railway
