The writer
Educated at Wadham College, Oxford, David Gerrard was a television documentary director andscriptwriter for more than 20 years, working in the UK and North America. He is now a full-timewriter, based in the Yorkshire Dales and has published more than 30 titles covering a wide rangeof travel, leisure and local history topics. David has written previous editions of the CountryLiving Guides including Ireland, Heart of England and the North East.
