10 reasons to love knitting
It’s feminine
These days, when we share all the household chores with our husbands and live in a man's world at work, it's nice to have one thing left in our lives with some feminine mystique. Husbands typically don't understand knitting, thank goodness. They sit in slack-jawed boredom while we hog dinner party conversations with long soliloquies on discontinued Rowan yarns, and they will do anything not to have to trail around us in the John Lewis haberdashery department. Their complete lack of comprehension means we can show off even our most minor knitting achievements to them as if they are works of genius and revel in our womanly artistry.
