Weave a seed heads and birds Christmas wreath

Country Living online 23.07.2009

A twiggy base is a great starting point for a festive, rustic design

seedhead Christmas wreathFor this wreath, use teasels, honesty, pine cones, dogwood and umbellifers. Cut the foliage to size and thread down into the wreath base, securing with a twist of wire. Continue adding pieces until the base is covered. Attach groups of seed heads with wire to the base. Keep the design sparse so that individual shapes are strongly outlined. Finish with bird motifs cut from embossing foil, creating detail with the supplied tool. Use tape and wire to attach to the wreath.
