Treat someone special to a handmade necklace

 

Create a luxury necklace using pearls and a crystal pendant. Thread an eyepin (a pin with a ready-made loop) through the pendant and wrap the end around the pin several times to secure it. Trim the end. Using Tigertail (nylon-coated steel wire), attach one side of your clasp by threading it first through a crimp bead (a small metal tube), then the clasp, and back through the crimp.

 

 

 

 

Squeeze the crimp flat with pliers to secure. Thread both ends of the Tigertail through a bead or two and trim the short end of the wire. Thread on half your beads then the pendant, then the remaining beads.

 

 

 

Attach the other half of the clasp as before, threading the end of the wire back through two beads before trimming. Beads, pendant and findings, The Bead Shop (020 7240 0931)
