Recycled chic: pinboards
Give fresh life to pieces past their best
A pair of inexpensive cork pinboards covered in a co-ordinating fresh fabric make a pretty background against which to display arrangements of cards, favourite pictures and selections of quirky memorabilia.
To cover pinboards
Apply two coats of hardwearing satin-finish paint to the frame of the board. Cut fabric to cover the board, allowing 1.5cm extra on all sides. Lay it on top of the board and, with a flat-head screwdriver, gently coax the fabric under the frame so it fits snugly.
