● red paint
● Blu-Tack
● holiday souvenirs - we used a flag, skyline card and badge, matchbook, coins, Metro card, city map, stamps, dollar note
How to make:
Remove glass from frame. Paint the edge of the frame and leave to dry. Arrange items on backing board to make a pleasing display and hold in place with Blu-Tack. Replace glass.
Seaside memories
You will need:
● large chocolate box
● old map or wrapping paper● plain coloured paper for background
● glue
● holiday treasures - we used a postcard, driftwood, seaweed, pebbles and a starfish
How to make:
1 To make a frame, draw a rectangle about 4cm in from each side of the box lid and cut out. From an old map or wrapping paper, cut a rectangle large enough to cover the lid and sides, plus 2cm overlap all round. Place lid centrally on this paper and draw a rectangle 2cm inside all edges of the hole in the lid. Cut paper diagonally into the corners. Cut out squares outside each corner of lid, as shown. Apply glue to wrong side of paper. Place lid centrally on paper and fold edges neatly around edges of lid.
2 Cut a rectangle of coloured paper to fit bottom of box and glue in place. Arrange items in box and glue securely in position.
