Fête makes: leather bracelets

These bracelets are a simple and stylish thing to make - ideal to sell at a fête

These stylish bracelets are easy to make using leather thonging and just one or two beads or charms. Cut a 90cm length of thonging.

 

Fold it in half and make a loop at the fold by tying a knot about 1.5cm from the fold. Tie a second knot about 8cm away. Thread one piece of thronging through a bead then tie another knot.

 

About 8cm away, tie four knots on top of one another to make a ball. Try on in case you want to adjust the size or position of knots. Apply transparent glue to ball to keep it in shape and trim ends of thonging. Adjust size of loop, if necessary, to fasten ball end.
