Fête makes: hair scrunchies

Try making these pretty hair accessories with our simple pattern - ideal to sell at a fête

 

Home made hair scrunchiesMake colourful hair scrunchies from oddments of fabric or recycle old garments in pretty prints.

 

Cut a strip of fabric 50cm x 10cm. Fold it in half lengthwise, with right sides together, and stitch along long edge. Turn right side out.

 

Thread a 20cm length of 6mm-wide elastic through and stitch to single fabric at each end of scrunchie.

 

Fold under 1cm around one end of scrunchie. Insert opposite end and stitch securely.Hair scrunchie pattern
