Step-by-step flower arranging: hand-tied spring bouquet
Featuring pinks and purples, this pretty, hand-tied bunch is so easy to arrange
You will need:
● pink pebbles or stones
● glass globe vase
● florists' wire - 10 stems of veronica
● scissors
● bunch of phlox
● 10 stems of alstroemeria
● aspidistra leaf
● florists' diamanté pin
Step 1
Put pebbles or stones in bottom of vase and add water. Use wire to secure veronica together.
Tip: You can use string instead of florists' wire, but wire is easier to use. Tied bunches will last longer than stems arranged individually in water.
Step 2
Cut phlox, so stems are shorter than veronica and, using wire, secure in place around veronica to form a border.
Step 3
Arrange alstroemeria around bunch and tie in place. Wrap aspidistra leaf around and secure with diamanté pin.
Step 4
Place arrangement upright in vase.
Note: The aspidistra leaf is to hide the stems, so it's optional.
