Flower-arranging: berries and roses
This pretty arrangement takes no time at all and makes a gorgeous centrepiece or a lovely gift
You will need:
● glass vase or jar
● scissors
● raffia
● 2 aspidistra leaves
● 4 stems of hypericum berries (or berries from your garden)
● 11 roses
Step 1
Place pre-soaked Oasis in the bottom of your vase or jar. Cut two or three lengths of raffia for wrapping around the vase.
Step 2
Using the aspidistra leaves, wrap the vase to cover it, and secure with raffia.
Step 3
Trim the berries and push the stems into the Oasis so the berries sit about 3in-4in above the vase.
Step 4
Trim the roses so they sit slightly higher than the berries, and push into the Oasis. Make sure all gaps are well covered.
Tip: To open your roses, give them a gentle blast with a hairdryer.
