Flower-arranging: berries and roses

This pretty arrangement takes no time at all and makes a gorgeous centrepiece or a lovely gift

You will need:

● half a block of Oasis

● glass vase or jar

● scissors

● raffia

● 2 aspidistra leaves

● 4 stems of hypericum berries (or berries from your garden)

● 11 roses

Place pre-soaked Oasis in the bottom of your vase or jar. Cut two or three lengths of raffia for wrapping around the vase.

Using the aspidistra leaves, wrap the vase to cover it, and secure with raffia.

Trim the berries and push the stems into the Oasis so the berries sit about 3in-4in above the vase.

 

Step 4

Trim the roses so they sit slightly higher than the berries, and push into the Oasis. Make sure all gaps are well covered.

 

Tip: To open your roses, give them a gentle blast with a hairdryer.
