Step-by-step flower arranging: tulip time
Colourful spring flowers will brighten up any room and tulips are especially cheering at this time of year
You will need:
● square glass vase
● 2 aspidistra leaves
● 35 tulips in two colours
● string
● scissors
Step 1
Wrap aspidistra leaves inside vase to disguise stems, then trim all tulips.
Step 2
Bunch together all tulips of one colour and tie with string.
Step 3
Add contrast tulips around inner bunch. Secure with string. Make sure they sit just below the bunched tulips.
Step 4
Place inside aspidistra leaves so the yellow tulips are sitting just above the rim of the vase.
Tip: Tulips are thirsty flowers but keeping them well watered will keep them upright for longer.
