Revamp a plain bedspread with this simple yet stunning idea. The flowers, held in place by discreet safety pins, can be removed easily for washing. This idea also works well on a woollen blanket or cushion.

What you'll need

● Bedspread

● Wire-edged coloured ribbon

● Scissors

● Safety pins

● Needle

● Thread

How it's done

Cut the wired ribbon into 40cm lengths. You'll need one length for each flower.

Secure the outside end of the ribbon by sewing it to the underneath of the flower to hold the flower in shape.

Sew on a safety pin to the bottom of each flower. Pin together in groups of three over the bedspread.
