Make festive paper pinwheels
These pretty paper pinwheels can be massed together as a table centrepiece, used to decorate presents or hung from the Christmas tree with lengths of cotton.
You will need
● Scissors
● Coloured paper
● Glue
● Buttons
To make
Cut brightly coloured paper into two strips of equal length and width – the wider the strips, the larger the finished pinwheel will be. Small ones work well – we used an A4-size strip in length and 2cm deep.
Fold each one in a concertina fashion. Stick one end to the other strip to form a long concertina and, once firmly in place, bring the other ends together, pressing out, to form a disc shape.
Stick the last two ends together and, using some strong adhesive, glue the button into the centre of the pinwheel to keep it joined. Weight lightly to secure.
