Make a spooky Halloween centrepiece

Bat Halloween table decoration

You will need
● Black paper
● Purple tissue or tinfoil
● String
● Branches

Impress with a dramatic centrepiece. Stuff a glass vase with purple tissue or scrunched-up tinfoil. You can add anything you like after that. I love this simple but effective bat decoration – you just need black card, string and branches.

You can get bundles of branches from most florists for a couple of pounds, and they won’t go to waste as you can spray them silver for your Christmas table in a few months!

Make a bat stencil from some black paper (or print out and enlarge the bat shapes below) and use that as a template so all your shapes look the same.

Make a tiny incision at the top to thread your string through so you can hang them on the branches!
