Flower arranging: country garden in a basket

You will need:

● trug or basket
● plastic or Cellophane
● scissors
● Oasis
● hebe
● viburnum
● lavender
● blackberries
● 1 hydrangea
● 3 thistles

Step 1

Line basket with plastic or Cellophane to make waterproof. Cut block of pre-soaked Oasis to fit inside.

Step 2

Cut down hebe and viburnum and push into Oasis to give coverage.

Step 3

Trim lavender and blackberry stems and push into Oasis to add colour and fragrance.

Step 4

Split hydrangea head into four and add to arrangement at intervals. Trim stems on thistle heads and push into basket to fill any gaps.
