Transform a plain mirror using driftwood collected from the beach
Use a mirror with a flat wooden frame. The wider the frame, the more driftwood you will need.
First, paint frame white - this gives the best finish, in case any areas show through gaps in driftwood.
Collect driftwood from a beach, searching along high-water mark.
You will need quite a large selection - gather more than you think you will need, so you have plenty of different shapes and sizes to choose from.
Arrange driftwood pieces to cover frame and stick in place with clear multi-purpose glue.
Build up one or two layers to hide wooden frame as much as possible.
