The perfect display for Easter - and little ones can help hang the eggs
You will need:
● metal bucket
● container (to fit inside bucket)
● bunch of hyacinths (around 10)
● reel wire
● bundle of birch twigs
● moss
● decorative eggs (available from Paperchase or good florists)
Tip: We used painted wooden eggs, but small chocolate Easter eggs will work just as well. Buy hyacinths a couple of days earlier and use when they have opened out a bit.
Step 1
Place container inside bucket and thread hyacinth florets onto transparent reel wire. Make knots between each floret to keep in place.
Step 2
Bind twigs with twine and stand in container, then add moss. Push into container and fill to top to secure twigs.
Step 3
Fill bucket with water and place hyacinths all the way round twigs to disguise container. Hang the lengths of hyacinth-threaded wire on branches. Hang eggs on twigs - children will love this step!
Create a spring flower basket arrangement, with hyacinths and narcissi
