Get creative with paint: drinks coasters

Decorated candle dishes make summery coasters

painted glass coasters to make

The design is painted on the underside of the coaster, so you can see it through from the top.

Enlarge the template to the required size. Tape the template face-down on the top of the coaster. Turn it over and follow the template, painting each section and leaving to dry before starting a new section.

When painting the final coat on the coaster, paint over all previous layers of paint, so that the coaster looks neat from the reverse side, too.

When dry, bake the items in the oven at gas mark 2/150°C (140°C in a fan oven) for 35 mins, to make the paint dishwasher resistant.
