Sew a tweed heart

Tweed hearts

To make:
Enlarge template to about 20cm high and cut out. Cut two hearts from tweed fabric.

Fold a length of ribbon to form a hanging loop and tack to right side of one heart. Place hearts right sides together and stitch around outer edge, taking 1.5cm seam allowance and leaving gap for turning through. Trim seam allowances and snip to stitching at centre of heart. Turn right side out.

Press and fill with polyester stuffing. Sew up gap.

For the bow, cut a 28cm x 3cm strip from printed fabric. Press under 5mm on all edges. Press in half lengthways and stitch outer edges. Tie in a bow and stitch securely to centre of heart.
