Sew a tweed doorstop

To make:
From tweed fabric, cut four 23cm x 18cm sides, two 18cm squares for top and bottom and one 18cm x 13cm rectangle for the handle. With right sides together, pin and stitch sides together, taking 1.5cm seam allowances. Press under 1cm on long edges of handle. Press in half lengthwise and stitch close to both edges.

Pin handle centrally across top and stitch in a rectangle at each end. With right sides together, pin and stitch top and bottom to sides, leaving a gap in one bottom edge. Turn right side out, press, fill with dry rice or pea gravel and sew up gap.
