Transform furniture with fabric scraps
Achieve a decoupage effect
Transform a small chair or table by sticking on remnants of leftover fabric to achieve a decoupage effect. Finish and protect by varnishing over the top.
Choose a selection of fabric and cut into small, workable pieces; they dont have to all be of equal sizes or even similar patterns and colours, though a tonal theme will create a more cohesive piece. Paste onto the chosen item of furniture using PVA glue (this will dry to a clear finish so dont worry about smears). Cover the whole piece, tightly wrapping sections until it is entirely covered. Once dry, finish with a clear matt varnish for extra strength.
