Sew love-heart lavender bags
So quick to sew, so lovely to give and receive
Stitch these pretty fragrant bags to scent drawers or hang from doors
You will need:
oddments of fabric and ribbon
matching thread
dried lavender
To make:
Make a heart-shaped template on paper to required size - folding the paper in half to get a symmetrical heart.
Cut out two hearts from fabric.
With right sides facing, pin and stitch pieces together around outer edge, taking 1cm seam allowances and leaving a gap in one side. Reinforce top point of heart with second row of stitching. Clip seam allowances to point of stitching. Turn through to right side.
Fill with lavender. Sew up gap in seam by hand. Tie ends of a length of ribbon in a bow, leaving a loop for hanging. Stitch bow to top of heart by hand.
