Add appliqué to a cushion

applique cushion

Experiment until you are happy with design and size of letters. Drawing letters by hand may produce a more pleasing design than using a ruler.

Lay letters face down - in reverse - on the wrong side of a sheet of Bondaweb and draw around them.

Cut out, leaving a margin around each letter.

Iron onto the wrong side of fabric and cut out accurately.

Position letters on right side of cushion front and fuse in place following manufacturer's instructions.

Work close zigzag stitch around the edge of each letter.
