Make a beaded jug cover
Keep the bugs out of the jug when you're entertaining outdoors
Traditional jug covers are popular again. They're great for outdoor entertaining to keep insects out of your drinks.
Make one in lovely floral-printed cotton, edged in beaded trim to weight the edges, or make a dual-purpose one using muslin, as we did - open-weave muslin is good for covering hot dishes while they're cooling, as it allows steam to escape as well as protecting the food from dust and insects.
Cut a circle of fabric 20cm in diameter. Neaten the edge. Stitch on 65cm of beaded trim, overlapping the ends.
