Start by tracing the two roses onto Bondaweb. Cut the shapes out roughly and iron them onto the pink and red tweed using a pressing cloth. Cut out accurately, remove the backing and position them on the bag, tucking the red rose under the edge of the pink one.

Now trace the leaves ignoring the vein lines. You might find it helps to number each one as you draw it and mark these numbers on the outline, as they all look quite similar.

Peel the paper from each leaf in turn and arrange them around the roses. Tuck some of them under the edges of the roses, where indicated by the dotted lines. Iron the flowers and leaves to the bag, using a pressing cloth.

Next add red tweed petals to the pink rose and pink tweed petals to the red rose. Once again you'll find it helpful to number them as you work. Sew around each shape in straight stitch, using matching sewing thread.

The brown petal detail is embroidered. referring to the coloured template, draw the shapes in with a fading-ink pen, then work over them in satin stitch, using brown embroidery thread.
