Make a pet photo cushion
Decorate a cushion with a transfer of a pet photo for a very special gift
Step 1
Cut a 47cm square of fabric for cushion front and two rectangles 47cm x 30cm for cushion back. Make a photocopy of a favourite photograph - colour or black and white is suitable.
Using Dylon Image Maker (call 020 8663 4801 or visit http://www.dylon.co.uk for stockists), follow the manufacturer's instructions to transfer the image onto a piece of white cotton fabric.
Step 2
When finished, trim the fabric to required size and tack to centre of cushion front. Pin, tack and stitch 1.5cm-wide twill tape over edges of cotton fabric, folding tape into neat mitres at corners.
Press under and stitch 1.5cm-wide hems across one long edge on each cushion back. Overlap cushion backs and lay on top of cushion front, right sides together. Stitch 1cm from outer edges. Turn right side out and press. Insert 45cm square cushion pad.
