Walk it off
Try a long walk with family and friends on rugged coastal paths or in the heart of rolling countryside. This provides great exercise and can be more uplifting than a trip to the gym. The National Trust looks after 704 miles of spectacular coastline. Check out the 39 downloadable walks that they recommend at www.nationaltrust.org.uk, but remember, any walk is good for you - cut out the car for short journeys whenever you can.
