Food swaps to cut cals

Vanilla and strawberry cornetto

Which ice cream?

SWAP A Wall’s Strawberry Cornetto, 265 cals, 11g fat, 33g sugar per 87g cone
FOR A Del Monte Raspberry Smoothie, 96 cals, 0.1g fat, 20.1g sugar per 90ml stick
WHY? Cut the calories by around two-thirds by going for a lolly, instead of a Cornetto. As well as being lower in fat, the smoothie lolly also bumps up your fruit consumption – it’s made with 25 per cent raspberry purée, rich in anthocyanin antioxidants, which may help protect against heart disease, cancer and wrinkles. By comparison, the Strawberry Cornetto only has 17 per cent strawberry.
