SHE are looking for Britain's 'Best Friend' do you have someone special to nominate?

Woman taking a picture of friendsHave you got a friend in a million - one who has done so much for you that "Thank you" simply isn't enough? Someone who has performed an amazing act of friendship or been there for you through thick and thin - who has done something that was way beyond the call of duty?

Here at SHE we have launched a friendship competition - to find Britain's ‘Best Friend' - to celebrate those amazing friends, without whom our lives would be, if not impossible, then certainly poorer. The winner and her friend will receive a make-over and photo shoot with the SHE team and have their story featured in the September issue of SHE magazine. You will also both take home a beauty goodie bag, worth £150.

We regularly feature stories of truly amazing friendships: We've told the story of Rebecca Hudson-Gray, who saved her friend Tracy's daughter Georgia from drowning in a freak boating accident. " Before the accident we were close," says Tracy, "but that kind of experience bonds you in a way that nothing else can."

We've also featured Rosemary Rennie, who donated her eggs to her childhood friend Delyth Raffell, so that she and her husband Graham could have the baby they longed for, after years of unsuccessful infertility treatment. "Not only has Rosemary given me two gorgeous daughters, it's fair to say that she's totally changed my life," says Delyth. "How can thank you ever be enough?"

So if, like Tracy and Delyth, you have an incredible best friend, why not write and tell us about her. To enter, simply tell us, in 500 words or less, why your friend deserves recognition. Include both of your names, ages, addresses, your daytime telephone numbers and a photograph of the two of you together and sent it to: Shefeatures@natmags.co.uk or in the post to SHE Friendship Competition, SHE Magazine, 72 Broadwick Street, London, W1F 9EP, by April 30th. Remember that you must have your friend's permission before you make your nomination.
