Remington Cordless Shaver

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques Remington Cordless Shaver The advantage shaving has over waxing is that you don\'t have to grow your hair before you remove it. But this shaver must only work on longer hairs as it struggled to remove my three-day stubble. After trying for 15 minutes (on one leg!) I gave up as I saw that nearly no progress was being made. Give me an ordinary razor or waxing any day!

Babyliss Simply Smooth

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques No waxing, no shaving, no epilating, lasts three times longer than all other hair removal systems and without the pain... Sounds fantastic doesn\'t it? Until you open up the box to discover that you have in fact just purchased a purple coloured sander. I didn\'t like this. It scared me. The instructions scared me, using it scared me and seeing lots of bits of my skin fall to the floor as I sanded, scared me. It didn\'t even work properly - I still had hair left, all be it very short, scared hair.

Veet in shower hair remover

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques Veet in shower hair remover Hair removal in six mins? Well, that was the claim of this new in-shower cream, but I was a bit dubious. The cream was easy to apply with its little sponge and didn\'t have the usual pungent scent. After six minutes I washed it off with the rough side of the sponge and was left with hairless smooth legs. What more could a girl want?

Philips Satin Ice Epilator

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques Philips Satin Ice Epilator As a virgin epilator (I was waiting for someone special) I was keen to try this new epilator with a cooling system as it claims to be less painful than others. I won\'t lie, it hurt, especially under your arms but it was worth it as my legs and underarms are smoother than they\'ve been in a long time and I\'m told that I\'ll be fuzz free for a number of weeks. Definitely a winner for busy girls.

Veet Wax Strips

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques Veet Wax Strips Lovely experience! Surprisingly easy to use. No mess, no hassle and I don\'t think anyone would know I hadn\'t set foot in a salon to de-fuzz

Venus Vibrance Razor & Satin Care shaving foam

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques Venus Vibrance Razor & Satin Care shaving foam The packaging doesn\'t explain what the vibration is for so, from its reminiscent-of-the-rampant-rabbit packaging, I wonder if it\'s intended for use as a vibrator. If so, I think they should market this as a two-in-one travel product guaranteed not to embarrass you at customs. I don\'t usually use shaving foam - I think it\'s less messy to use whatever you\'re washing with but it had a pleasant apricot scent. Shave was v close, nick-free and skin did feel smooth and soft.

Babyliss Salon Smooth wax system

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques Babyliss Salon Smooth wax system Nice-looking set. Did the job well. But it\'s all a bit of a palaver to tell the truth. If you want to play salons, it\'s fine. Also I was worried about heating the wax up before the kids went to bed in case they burnt themselves on it.

Veet Rasera

better body, beauty buys, beauty techniques Veet Rasera In addition to the spray can of hair-removing foam, you get a \'removal tool\' which is like a razor but doesn\'t have a sharp blade. It makes the whole process faster and less gunky. Yes, it works well if hair removal cream is your thing, but as it is so much like shaving your legs, you could just as easily do that - and not bother with the three-minute wait.
