It’s a question I’ve often wondered. I definitely wouldn’t be a designer shoe – a Jimmy Choo say, or a Louboutin – far too uncomfortable. Not to mention showy. I think I’d be a wedge sandal, maybe with ribbon straps - a bit classic with a girly twist.

But now I don’t need to wonder any longer. Because here I am. Ladies, I give you the ‘Bernadette’. It’s a lot more practical than I like to think I am, though the stitching pretties it up a bit. It’s very versatile, which is good. And extremely, extremely comfortable.

I know this because it’s by European brand Josef Seibel, renowned for producing comfortable stylish shoes for the past two centuries. I own a pair of Josef Seibel boots. They are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had and I live in fear of the day they fall apart – though they’re now on their third winter and showing no signs of collapse.
