\'I eat organic and I\'d encourage everyone to give it a go. I\'ve never been fanatical about sport but I love to run - I try to do six miles three or four times a week. There\'s pressure on me to look good but not so much that I had to force myself into a strict exercise regime as soon as my sons were born. The Zone Diet is responsible for Cindy’s fantastic figure in her 40s, meaning she can eat plenty to keep her energy levels high. The eating plan combines controlled portions with carefully-balanced meals made up of 40 per cent carbohydrate, 30 per cent protein and 30 per cent fat. ‘I snack between breakfast and lunch,’ says Cindy of her eat-little-and-often regime. ‘Then again at 4pm so I\'m not starving by the time I sit down and eat dinner.’

Through my practice of yoga I was drawn to Ayurveda, a sister philosophy, and also to things that are generally better for me. My diet has gradually changed. I sincerely feel that beauty largely comes from within. When you are balanced and when you listen and attend to the needs of your body, mind and spirit, your natural beauty comes out.’

‘I’m not afraid of aging,’ she says. ‘I would absolutely not doBotox. It actually makes me feel happier about my face when I look at people my age who’ve had it.’ Christy, who launched an Ayurvedic skincare range in 1999 called Sundari, says that looking good is easily achieved by anyone with the right attitude: ‘I think each woman has her own relationship to beauty.’
