Restore hair's health and shine
How to restore health and shine to tired hair. By Yanar Alkayat
Daily DIY tips
Take a break from heat styling for a few days or even a week and you'll give hair a chance to replenish lost moisture and avoid further damage. If you can't go without heat styling, try half-drying and then twisting hair up in a side bun or clipping it back. Release later for soft natural waves and a new look.
Weekly TLC tips
Use hot oil once or twice a week for a moisture boost. Olive oil works wonders at rehydrating hair without the expensive price tag. Heat up, apply to strands, massage firmly into scalp, and then wrap hair up in a towel to retain the heat.
How to massage your scalp
Regularly massaging your scalp will stimulate circulation in the hair follicles, release tension and open them up for healthy hair growth.
Starting at the hairline of your forehead, start massaging firmly using fingertips in circular strokes moving round to the back of the head and then up to the crown. Repeat several times.
Another technique is to place the palms on the sides of the head (fingers facing up) and with a firm hold, move palms up, lifting the hair slightly. Repeat several times for maximum effect.
