Gorgeous holiday hair: evening elegance
Faff-free hair that looks great with minimal effort is easy – here's how to get an elegant evening look.
Rinse any chlorine, sand and salt water out of your hair. Use a shampoo specially designed to nourish sun-dried hair, such as L’Oréal Professional Serie Expert After-Sun Shampoo, £9.10. Then condition with a quick strengthening hair mask, making it less prone to damage from the sun, sand and sea. Try L’Oréal Paris Elvive 60 Second Saviour, £4.99. Spritz on Kérastase Huile Céleste, £21.90, which will give a flaxen finish, to protect hair from UV damage; intensely moisturise, and give hair a sleek shine. Fight humidity frizz with KMS California Flat Out Anti-Humidity Seal, £17.80, which uses jojoba and fig to soften hair; it also seals the hair’s cuticles to create a silky smooth finish. Give hair a boost by using John Frieda Frizz Ease Overnight Serum, £7.39, before bed. It’s a light serum that helps repair any damage caused during the day, and leaves hair soft and shiny.

Part wet hair at the side and plait. Leave to dry naturally for a soft wave. Once hair is dry, brush through and spritz with Charles Worthington Shine Salon Finish Light As Air Serum Mist, £5.10, to give a high shine finish. Michael Van Clarke’s Niki Moores recommends diluting one part Michael Van Clarke 3 More Inches Pre-wash Treatment, £27.50, to two parts water in a spray bottle, and spritzing it on to damp hair.
