Gorgeous holiday hair: easy up-do
Faff-free hair that looks great with minimal effort is easy here's how to achieve an easy up-do.
Long hair in the heat can feel hot and sticky. Twist small sections of your hair away from your face. Use bobbi pins, such as Boots Essential Blonde Blending Hair Grips, £1.38, to secure them either high, centrally or low in the nape of your neck. Gather the rest of your hair and loosely twist it round like a rope. Either leave it in a ponytail or twist up into a bun. For full sun protection, throw on a chic floppy sun hat. Heidi Klein (from £100; www.heidiklein.com) has a selection of timeless straw hats, or try Accessorize (from £12; www.accessorize.com) for something more casual. Alternatively go for a Jackie O-style head scarf an intricately printed silk scarf from Liberty (from £95; www.liberty.co.uk) or Zaras cotton version (from £19.99; www.zara.com). First secure your hair into a bun, fold scarf diagonally in half. With the point at the nape of your neck, drape over your head and tie in a knot. Secure with pins.

For a super-easy style, loosely pull hair back into a low ponytail, keeping it soft around the face. Wrap the ponytail into a loose bun, flatten it against your head and secure it with grips. Use a little John Frieda Luxurious Volume Anytime Volume Refresher Spray, £5.49, to keep it in place.
