Best ever beauty tips: tired eyes
How to revive tired eyes. By Yanar Alkayat
Just woken up with deeper than usual lines around the eyes and dark under-eye shadows? It's enough to make you crawl back into bed! Try these quick - and natural - fixes to brighten peepers in an instant.
Essential hydration
With fewer oil glands in the skin under the eyes, it's important to maintain hydration to avoid dryness and premature wrinkles. At the end of a night out, when skin is particularly dry, use a face oil and take it up to the eye bone (around the eyes) - you'll wake up looking fresher and more hydrated.
Ice, ice baby...
Gently wiping something cool or better still, ice cold, onto tired eyes will help to reduce puffiness and instantly bring the sparkle back. Gently stroke an ice cube around the eyes or soak a cotton pad in ice-cold water and lay onto eyelids for a few moments.
When less is more...
The skin around the eyes is more sensitive than the rest of face so if you are prone to sensitivity avoid super-rich creams and try an eye gel instead, which has a lighter formula. Pop it in the fridge and you'll have a cooling treat waiting for you each morning.
Boost circulation
Dark shadows could mean weak circulation or trapped fluids so gently tap around your eye bone with your ring finger to release tension and de-puff. Start at the top of your nose, work out to the temples and then round across the eye bone. Repeat several times.
