Dark chocolate ice cream

Ingredients

300ml/10floz milk

5tbsp golden syrup

200g/7oz 70 per cent dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces

4 egg yolks

250g/9oz low-fat natural yoghurt

Method

1 Heat milk, golden syrup and chocolate till all melted together. Bring just to the boil, then remove from heat. Whisk egg yolks and pour over chocolate mixture while whisking. Cool, then whisk in yoghurt. Chill in fridge till cold then churn in an ice cream machine, or freeze overnight.

 

Tip: You can freeze the ice cream in individual little pots to save you time when serving.
